iPhone Apps Could Help You Avoid Speeding Tickets

Apple certainly wants you to buy into the idea that the iPhone is the be-all and end-all of smartphones, until Apple comes out with something else, of course. But it's really starting to look as if, with a lot of help from apps by 3rd party developers, the iPhone can really do anything.
Here's the perfect example: Now there are apps that actually prevent you from getting a speeding ticket.
Everyone saw the restaurant locator app coming, and I guess the Sonic Lighter app was inevitable, but could this really be true.
Well, yes and no. While the app identifies "speed-enforcement zones" (speed traps, cameras, etc.) and alerts you when you are coming close to one, the fault is still ultimately yours when you get a ticket.
When Apple releases an app that can hypnotize traffic officers into letting you off with a warning or surreptitiously infiltrate traffic records to delete past tickets, then I'll probably be more interested. Of course, at that point I'll have ditched my iPhone for fear that Apple has all my personal information and knows everything about me.
Who am I kidding? That's probably already true. Well played, Steve Jobs, well played.
