App Aims: Power predictions for the big dance
Reviewer’s Comments
Fantell March Madness NCAA predictions is a pretty fun app to use. I’m not usually big on score predictions, but the way Fantell has it set up, they make it fun and so easy to use it’s almost ridiculous. From the very first page with only three options to choose from Fantell, although limited in what it can do, makes predicting scores and navigating through this app a piece of cake. You can choose to make and see predictions which will take you to a list of the current round of the tournament you can predict. Once you select which round you’d like to pick, it’s a simple matter of scrolling through all the games, tapping whichever game you want to. From there it’s as simple as scrolling through the numbers for each team to pick their scores. Once you’ve saved your scores you just have to wait until the game is over to see how you stacked up against others and against the real overall score.
Fantell also has it set up so you can see your accuracy standings. The top 10 predictors will win a prize, so as you go along you can see where you rank against others. The winner will get the 2009 college football app for free, sure it’s only two dollars but it’s still winning something. To enter the contest you just have to predict the scores of at least 10 games.
Overall, we really liked Fantell. It had a simple, easy-to-use interface with simple well-designed graphics. And, although it doesn’t do much, it does what it says it will almost perfectly.
