The minds at Smule have developed yet another creative app that uses their unique social networking concept in conjunction with the iPhone and iPod touch’s distinctive capabilities to connect people from all over the world. Simply choose your “brush stroke” shape and create a message with your finger. When you’re done, name your zephyr and tap the “Send” button. Once you’ve released your breezy creation, you can track its progress throughout the world seeing how many people have loved your work. You can also send messages about other people’s zephyrs and receive feedback on your own. It’s so much fun to see the path your messages travel.

A few options could be included to make this app as popular as its siblings Sonic Lighter and Ocarina. Being able to combine graphics such as snowflakes and stars for example would offer greater variety in the images that are developed. Another feature would be the ability to change the size and color of each style of brush stroke.

Zephyr is a worthy addition to the family of Smule apps. The app is deceptively simple to use but will entertain you for as long or short a time as you wish. It’s certainly worth loading onto your iPhone or iPod touch and send greetings out to the world. Who knows, your drawing may start something really big!
