App Aims: Sync Your Life
First things first, let’s clear up the confusion over the price. iTunes lists the app as free, however only the trial is free. Once the 15-day trial expires, the app becomes useless unless you upgrade to the Pro version for $25 a year. This app is meant to supplement the tools that Pro users already enjoy online and versions of RTM are also available for Google Calendar, Google Gears, Twitter, Blackberry and as a Gmail Gadget.
Remember the Milk for the iPhone is a great task manager program, if you‘re already an RTM Pro user adding this app is free and a no-brainer. It consolidates all of your tasks into a portable version, can organize them by location and syncs perfectly with the online version.
The basics of this app include task list management by type of task, priority, due dates, time estimate, location, tags, URL and more. It also lets your organize tasks within the lists by location, due date or tags. An advantage to using the iPhone is that you can make calls or send emails with one-touch calling and there’s also an auto-link to Mail and Safari. It also has a reminder feature that can send you an email, IM or SMS if you want it to.
Really, RTM has far too many features to discuss in the space of this review. If you are already an RTM Pro user, then for sure use this app. If you are an iPhone or iPod user who is interested in the RTM task manager system, take advantage of the free trial to see if you want to become a Pro user.
