Whether you need to quickly jot down a phone number or email address or you’re making notes for your next novel, Awesome Note is a fabulous application that provides users with almost unlimited note taking capabilities. The app is a huge step up from the standard iPhone Notes application. It’s an almost completely customizable organization and notebook tool that every iPhone user should have on their home screen. If you need to have information available at your fingertips, you need Awesome Note. With the built-in link between the app and Google Documents, the ability to transfer and edit notes has never been easier.

Awesome Note presents users with a wide array of options. Rename, add and delete note folders based on your lifestyle and preferences, not the whims of the developers. Change the folder colors to fit your personal tastes. You can change the color, style, font and font size for each individual note quickly and easily with the theme and text buttons. There are 13 different fonts and 38 font sizes to choose from; a feature you won't find in the standard Notes app.

If you’re in a hurry, there is a quick note button on the app’s home page that allows you to simply start typing and then go back to the note later and file it appropriately. Or, while typing out the quick note, you can take advantage of the save-as feature, and tell Awesome Note where you want the note stored.

The process of adding a new note is very simple. On the welcome page, there is a New Note button—simply start typing your note. Change the title and use the buttons at the bottom of the screen to file the note in the correct folder, email it to someone, delete it or change the appearance. It’s very simple to move a note from one folder to another if you need to reorganize your memos.

The newly added interface with Google Documents makes this app more valuable than ever before. When linking Awesome Note to a Google account, users have the option to select all of their documents or just specific files for import into the app. Conversely, there is also an option for uploading notes to Google Documents. No other iPhone note taking app offers this amazing and useful functionality.

Awesome Note does require OS 3.0 or higher, but is compatible with the iPhone and the iPod touch. It takes advantage of the larger wide screen keyboard, which is a nice feature for users that don't want to use the smaller standard keyboard interface.
