The Camera Genius app gives you the ability to take photos with the iPhone the way you were meant to. It operates very much like the standard photo software that comes with the device but has many features that Apple doesn’t include. These include such things as pan and zoom capabilities, sound capture that lets you snap a photo via voice command for hands-free photography, an anti-shake setting that prevents a photo being taken until the device is held steady to reduce blurry photos and a “big button” feature that lets you snap a photo simply by touching anywhere on the screen instead of trying to tap the tiny shutter button. The app also has a guideline feature that divides the photo frame into nine equal squares making composing a photo easy, a timer that counts down from ten seconds after the shutter button has been touched and a camera manual that gives lots of different tips on taking good quality photos.

The only minor cons to this app are that photos cannot be deleted or emailed from within the application and the images can’t be reviewed by sliding your finger over the screen, but rather by selecting an individual photo in the album to view. Aside from this, the application has all the options you’ve always wanted in the iPhone’s default camera.

This is an excellent application that we suggest any iPhone owner should purchase. Even if you don’t take many photos with your phone, having Camera Genius on your phone when you want to take a photo and capture it with optimal results.
