App Aims: Interactive Digital Flirting
Reviewer’s Comments
The TrueFlirt app by Viximo brings a new level of charm to the popular social activity of flirting. The app comes with ten interactive scenes that use one or two of the iPhone’s capabilities from tapping and shaking, to tilting and blowing into the mic, not to mention the clever soundtracks that accompany each flirt. The messages are broken up into three categories: Playful, Romantic and Sexy. The graphics are all extremely well done and polished. It’s a lot of fun to explore each scene to find the interactive elements.
The only major drawback is that because TrueFlirt uses the iPhone/touch’s capabilities so well, those are the only devices you can send messages to. One other minor drawback is that if the recipient doesn’t have the app on their device, they must download the app to respond. If all they want to do is see the text and respond, they can download the lite version which will receive flirts but can’t initiate them. At this stage of the game, your flirting may still happen one-on-one because you’ll need to show the object of your fascination the iPhone and explain the app to them so they can play with it. Once more people have this app on their phone the value will increase. It’s still a lot of fun and the developers are planning to add new flirts often so the price is worth paying for a great app.
