What is a kiss? Love professed through lips. Lay a passionate one on your loved one from across the room or the other side of the world and declare your feelings without words. The Blow a Kiss app allows you to build a kiss, as syrupy as you like, and then blow into the mic to send it to your beloved. The developer has created a clever program that uses the iPhone and iPod touch’s capabilities in a unique manner. First you choose how far to send the kiss (from your palm, across the room or around the world) then you can either choose a photo and add kisses, hearts and flowers to it or build a kiss from scratch in the Kiss Style option. You can choose the size of the various “stamps” and then tap the screen where you want to apply the image. Continue in this manner until you’re happy with the design. When you’re done, tap the Ready button on the lower left corner and depending upon how far you chose to send the kiss, blow into the mic for the “from your palm” or “across the room” option and the kiss image will float up to the top of the device’s screen and disappear. If you’re sending a kiss around the world, you create the kiss the same as before but when you tap “Ready” an email format comes up that allows you to select an email address from your contact list and add a personal message before you send it on its way with a breath. You can even take a picture within the app to add graphics to as well as save any kisses you receive to your Camera Roll.

There is a good selection of graphics and sizes, we just wish you could rotate the images so that you can add some variety to the design. Another thing we’d like to see is letter stamps so you could add “XOXO” or a simple “I love you” to a design without emailing it. This app is a lot of fun to play with and for the price offers a lot of good options. It’s certainly worth the price and the real estate on your phone for special occasions or just whenever you’re feeling affectionate.
