App Aims: A whole library in one Stanza

It’s nice to have a library available at any time of the day or night and anywhere you go. That’s what Stanza for the iPhone and iPod Touch gives you. It has thousands of electronic book titles available from completely free downloads of old time classics to new bestsellers. Stanza gives you a wide variety of books to choose from all available through your phone, so you’ll never be without a good book to read again.

Stanza makes reading fun again as well. You can find old books you haven’t thought of since you were little like A Girl of the Limberlost or the Wrinkle in Time series. Plus it’s convenient to have it all on the phone, you could easily stand in line, waiting for your fast food, and read a little from your favorite book. You don’t really ever have to put your books down.

The way Stanza organized your books, but title, subject, author and even recently read really makes it easy to get through your library and see what you have available. It’s also convenient too if you aren’t quite sure what you want to read, you can look at books by subject and get some ideas. We liked the use of the accelerometer and how you could switch between portrait and landscape modes. Stanza also made it really easy, with just a few taps of the screen, to change the text color, font and size as well as the color of the background to make it a little easier on your eyes as you read. On the whole, Stanza is a great eBook application that makes reading fun on the iPhone.
